Alican’s role at Forensic Architecture involves platform design, and the creative application of technology and game engines in investigation.
Alican graduated from Goldsmiths, University of London’s MA programme in Computer Games, Art & Design with distinction. His dissertation examined the practice of Forensic Architecture.
He also has a degree in Visual Communication Design, Photography, and Video from Istanbul Bilgi University, where he later worked as an academic researcher and taught BA courses on the topics of photography and cyber-cultures between 2011 and 2015.
Alican is interested in representations of experience, memory, and history in the digital space. He finds relief by designing experimental games as social and political commentary.
